epay, a division of Euronet Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: EEFT) and a leading full-service prepaid product provider announces the roll-out of Steam gift cards in time for the Christmas holidays. The cards will be available at values of €20, €50 and €100 and will be sold at Media Markt and Saturn from today. They will also soon be available at additional electronics stores such as Expert, Conrad, Electronic Partner and MEDIMAX, making the gift cards available at more than 700 locations all over Germany.

Steam is a platform to play your online games with thousands of gamers, with games ranging from action to indie and everything in between. Steam has over 65 million active users and offers cross-platform support for PC, Mac and Linux. The Steam gift cards can not only be used as a gift, they are also a popular payment alternative for users who do not wish to use sensitive credit card or account data on the internet.

To redeem the cards bought at participating retailers, the user simply has to go online and enter the code depicted on the gift card. Their personal Steam account is immediately credited with the corresponding value, which can be used to pay for all the games and software offered on Steam.
