Thomas Baur, COO at Zucchetti Switzerland SA
What convinced you about the epay integration module?
Electronic payment at the point of service is highly dynamic. In order to be able to react to this quickly and flexibly and as uninterruptedly as possible for our customers and users, we have decided to work with epay as a strategic partner.
The integration module provided for connecting terminals to the cash register made this possible in a simple way, as it offers a high degree of independence from protocols and terminals.
How did the connection of the epay integration module go?
The connection went smoothly. The mature description of the API and the test devices provided enabled us to integrate the interface quickly and easily.
Technical questions that arose on the part of our development department were answered quickly and competently by the colleagues from epay.
What services or additional options do you use with POS integration?
We process all classic credit and debit card payments and offer alternative payment methods, which are continuously being added to. The integration of prepaid and gift cards is currently being implemented.
What has changed for you as a result of the integration?
Device communication is handled entirely by the integration module. As an integration partner, we don’t have to worry about the portfolio of equipment. Both wired and wireless communication is supported by the integration module.
Have you been able to tap into new end-customer groups with the help of the integration module?
As the integration is not yet complete, we are not yet able to communicate any major success stories. However, the first preliminary talks with selected partners are very promising.
How much time have you saved with the integration module?
I assume 50%. Normally, an integration of an EFT terminal takes about 15 days with QA, but here we got by with about 60% of the normal effort.
How have your dealers’ sales changed? Could new sales potential be tapped?
The close cooperation with epay enables us to sustainably change the go-to-market model to the benefit of our customers in the future.
The real benefit, however, is that with the integration module we save many future individual developments due to the given flexibility.
Are you satisfied with epay and the service?
Yes, we at Zucchetti are completely satisfied with the cooperation with epay and its employees.
How likely are you to recommend epay to others?
Considering the fact that the systems are very stable and the cooperation with the team has always been excellent, I would not hesitate to recommend epay as a technology partner.
