A TOP 100 Company: epay is ranked among 2018’s innovation leaders

TOP 100 Innovation Award

For the 25th time, the TOP 100 competition has honored Germany’s most innovative SMEs.

This year, this also includes epay – transact Electronic Payment Systems GmbH. This was the result of the analysis by the scientific director of TOP 100, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. The Martinsried-based company was presented its award on June 29, 2018 by TOP 100 mentor Ranga Yogeshwar, with the awards ceremony held in Ludwigsburg as part of the fifth German SME Summit (Deutscher Mittelstands-Summit). A company with a staff of 200, epay was chosen by an independent jury based on its impressive innovation processes and successes.

Operating under the brand name “epay”, transact Elektronische Zahlungssysteme GmbH is part of an international group specializing in all aspects of payment transactions, including electronic payment processing, prepaid solutions, corporate incentives and gift cards. Founded in 1996 and currently a TOP 100 company, it is renowned for regularly coming up with and implementing ground-breaking ideas. The following figures show how successful the Martinsried-based company’s innovations have proven: “epay” has established a dealer network operating across 39 countries, comprising more than 300,000 points of sale and over 700,000 prepaid terminals that together process well over one billion transactions a year.

The company’s 360-degree full-service approach enables it to exploit all avenues when developing new ideas and new business models. Its latest development is an e-kiosk in which consumers can view a broad range of top-brand vouchers on a screen. The company boasts a strong innovative culture, with solution-oriented work processes, clear communication channels, enthusiastic idea coordinators and an efficient intranet. All new developments are the product of a strong network and close collaboration, with pilot projects and key customers also managed in the same vein. Requested to provide a quote characterizing the “epay” spirit, Managing Director Markus Landrock opted for a statement by Formula One World Champion Mario Andretti: “If everything seems under control, you’re not going fast enough!”
