Gas stations are enabled to sell concert tickets – digital solution from Lekkerland, epay and CTS EVENTIM now available!

  • Gas stations shops can expand their offer with a wide range of tickets for popular music, sports and cultural events.
  • The event industry gets a 24/7 distribution channel and artists reach new attractive target groups.
  • Consumers can purchase concert tickets while refueling.

Martinsried, May 10, 2023:
Lekkerland, the specialist for on-the-go consumption, CTS EVENTIM, one of the leading international ticketing and live entertainment providers, and epay, Europe’s leading prepaid and payment provider, are joining forces to turn gas stations into advance ticket sales points. The three partners have developed a digital ticketing solution that enables the nationwide sale of tickets for many different music, sports and cultural events at gas stations. The solution is available now from Lekkerland.

It works with the help of the digital kiosk iKiosk, on which Lekkerland and epay have already been working together for many years: Via this kiosk, service stations can already offer their customers a wide range of prepaid products such as vouchers and gift cards. Now, tickets for concerts, sports and other events are being added. Processing is done via a connection to the processing platform of epay, a payment service provider licensed by BaFin.

“For gas station stores, ticket sales are a great addition to the offering and a logical development step towards becoming a multi-service hub in the region.“

– Veith Huxohl,
Head of Product Management & Marketing Corporate e-va bei Lekkerland

“Having gas stations on board as additional distribution channel to offer our extensive ticket portfolio through is a real win in the field of digital value-added services with attractive revenue potential.“

– Karsten Elbrecht,
Chief Commercial Officer Ticketing Germany CTS EVENTIM

“We are very pleased to be able to implement the ticketing solution – which was introduced with CTS Eventim 2022 and has been tested several times on the market – at our long-standing partner Lekkerland using our secure payment infrastructure and technology.“

– Maik Süssemilch,
Director Branded & Mobile Payments, Store Services DACH at epay

How ticket sales at gas stations work

Consumers select their event and optionally the seat they want directly at the service point in the participating gas station store, reserve their ticket and receive a printed payment form. They pay for this at the cash desk of the gas station store using their preferred payment method. The event ticket will be sent to them digitally by e-mail after payment.
