Contactless and cashless payment in Benteler-Arena of SC Paderborn

Since the 2018/2019 second league season, fans and spectators have also been able to make cashless and contactless payments in the Benteler Arena. On the initiative of the stadium caterer ASH Catering and with the support of the local financial institutions Sparkasse Paderborn-Detmold and VerbundVolksbank OWL eG, epay equipped the SC Paderborn 07 stadium with payment terminals at 23 catering stands.

How contactless and cashless payments works?

Every football fan knows that: Half time break – everything is crowded around the catering stands. The throats have become dry from cheering on the team and the stomach has become hungry. You are standing in line and suddenly someone in front of you starts counting the pennies. Not in the Paderborn Stadium! What you know from supermarkets is also becoming established in German football stadiums: cashless payment with Giro Card, credit card or smartphone. epay is the technical implementer for this.

Gongratulations to SC Paderborn for the ascent to the 1st Bundesliga!

On May 20th SC Paderborn made the sensational ascent to the first Bundesliga. Thus the Benteler Arena advances to the Bundesliga stadium with football and payment possibilities on the highest level.
