Days of Caring in autumn 2025 at epay in Germany: Giving something back as a team
At epay in Germany, the Days of Caring represent our joint commitment to making a positive contribution to the regional community around our Martinsried site – while also strengthening team spirit. This autumn, 39 motivated epay employees got involved in four meaningful projects, which we implemented in collaboration with Caritas and BUND Naturschutz München. Another highlight was a day spent building bird feeders together to support local birdlife during the winter months.
Caritas St. Gisela Retirement Home (24.09.)
Where it had been a summery 28 degrees just three days ago, we started the Day of Caring at the St. Gisela retirement home in Gräfelfing with a temperature of 11 degrees and drizzling rain. But the weather couldn’t spoil our mood. We were warmly welcomed by the St. Gisela team and started the day with coffee, tea and a short briefing. But not for too long, because a queue had already formed outside the door with senior citizens who all wanted to take advantage of our wheelchair and walker washing service. So we got straight to work and scrubbed and polished the vehicles until they were sparkling clean. We had lovely conversations with the residents, laughed a lot together and had to turn down several offers of tips. The residents were very grateful and wanted to book the next appointment with us straight away.
Feeling inspired, we ended this wonderful Day of Caring together with the residents and staff of the retirement home with a glass of non-alcoholic sparkling wine.
Magdalenenpark Pasing (01.10)
For the ninth time, we had the opportunity to support BUND Naturschutz in maintaining and landscaping Magdalenenpark in Pasing.
After a tour of the grounds, the grass clippings were collected by the insect-friendly bar mower and taken to the compost heap. With a lot of muscle power, the existing compost was also rearranged and the blood-red dogwood was tackled.
After lunch together in the sunshine, our colleagues were allowed to work in the show gardens – watering, replanting and mowing.
It was particularly nice that colleagues from epay and cadooz rewards joined forces on this day. We had a lot of fun and are looking forward to the next assignment!
Bird feeders at epay (19.11)
The third and final Day of Caring in autumn 2025 was a special one. For the second time, the Day of Caring on the school holiday of Repentance and Prayer Day in Bavaria was aimed at both epaylers and their schoolchildren.
We were again accompanied by an environmental educator. In bright sunshine and frosty temperatures, we started with a walk to collect natural materials for our birdhouses. In the process, we discovered real natural treasures.
Back at epay, we continued with some creative work: empty oat milk cartons were turned into beautiful recycled birdhouses, and the children also painted bird feeders. After the work was done, everyone enjoyed lunch together and proudly admired the finished works on our gallery table.
The highlight? Seeing colleagues and their children get creative together, watching the children interact with each other and everyone having a wonderful time.
These projects were proof of what we can achieve together when we combine hard work, learning and the joy of giving back. Thank you to everyone who took part – your energy and enthusiasm made all the difference!
We will continue to make a difference through Days of Caring in the future!
