epay Germany Autumn Days of Caring 2024: Giving Back as a Team
At epay Germany, Days of Caring represent our commitment to making a difference in our communities while strengthening bonds among colleagues. This autumn, 43 passionate participants joined three impactful projects in collaboration with Caritas and BUND Naturschutz Munich.
Magdalenenpark Cleanup (20.09)
For the sixth time, epay employees partnered with BUND Naturschutz to help prepare Magdalenenpark in Pasing for public use. In gorgeous autumn weather, we rolled up our sleeves to dig, weed, and clear pathways in the park’s entrance area and orchard meadows. These spaces are set to open by year’s end as a haven for relaxation, biodiversity, and environmental education.
The team was guided by BUND Naturschutz volunteers, who shared fascinating insights about the site’s ecological importance over a well-deserved lunch break of sandwiches and coffee.
Kitchen Makeover at EinLaden Miesbach (24.10)
For our second Day of Caring at EinLaden Miesbach, seven epay employees helped rejuvenate this community center for individuals with mental illnesses. The team repainted the kitchen—a key part of the facility—and redesigned the outdated toilet.
The gratitude from the clients and staff was deeply moving. Over a meal prepared by the center’s clients and carers, our colleagues had the chance to connect with those directly benefiting from the project.
Wild Bees & Family Fun (20.11)
Our “Wild Bees” Day of Caring was extra special—it brought together employees and their children (ages 6–10) for a hands-on environmental project. Led by a BUND Naturschutz educator, we started with a snowy walk to a local biotope, collecting natural materials for insect hotels. Back at the epay Café, we crafted unique bee habitats and seed bombs to help pollinators thrive in spring.
The day was full of creativity, teamwork, and fun, with hot chocolate and lunch keeping spirits high. It wasn’t just the bees who benefited—everyone left with memories of a wonderful family bonding experience.
These projects were a testament to what we can achieve together, combining hard work, learning, and the joy of giving back. Thank you to everyone who participated—your energy and enthusiasm made all the difference!
